Souther and Miller attend Western Planner Conference
Souther
and Steve Miller attended the Western Planner "Rendezvous 2008"
Conference in Cheyenne, WY. As communities across the upper Midwest
increase and decrease in population, special attention needs to be
given to funding expenditures, and attracting and maintaining economic
development opportunities while maintaining wildlife and open spaces.
Workshops at the conference focused on energy, preserving water
standards, sustainable development, historic preservation, policies and
regulations, revitalizing downtowns, and infrastructures.
Souther is in KL&J's Municipal Group and helps clients achieve LEED
accredited status, preserve historical elements, and revitalize
buildings for community functions. Miller is a land acquisition
specialist and works within every one of KL&J's markets.
